Little Rose in the Big Garden
90K-word Adult Romantic Thriller
Róisín “Roe” Kennedy has always been defined by what people see—a mob heiress with a playbunny reputation and the pretty distraction in a family built on blood and control. But when her father’s murder threatens to upend Gardmore’s criminal empire, Roe is dragged into the world she’s spent her life trying to avoid.
Jamie Richardson has devoted his life to chasing justice, molded by a mentor whose version of righteousness includes practicing law by day and fighting as a masked vigilante by night.
When Roe seeks Jamie’s help in solving her father’s murder, their uneasy alliance sparks a chemistry as volatile as the city itself, where power whispers, corruption festers, and loyalties are bought in blood.
As Roe and Jamie are pulled deeper into Gardmore’s web of deceit, they must decide whether loving each other means saving themselves—or surrendering everything they believed about who they are and what they truly want. Set in a city where justice hides behind masks and monsters wear human faces, Little Rose in the Big Garden is a grounded, cinematic love story about legacy, trust, and the cost of stepping out of the shadows.

About Me
What’s my “why?”
When I first left for Boston University over ten years ago, I thought I’d be a journalist. I loved writing, I loved sports, and I wanted to do something I was passionate about. But at eighteen, when you’re just learning how to take risks, vulnerability doesn’t come easy. Criticism can be crushing, and you quickly realize that the thick skin you thought you had isn’t quite thick enough for the real world. Needless to say, I wasn’t ready then to make my voice heard.
Now, as I approach thirty and reflect on what the next decade might hold, I’m finally ready to be vulnerable again. Whether it’s through this website or the prose on a page, I’m stepping out from behind the curtain and into a showgirl era of my own.
Even after rereading this a hundred times, my stomach still twists with doubt. What if people judge me? What if they think I’m cringe? What if they’re laughing at me? But the truth is—it doesn’t matter. Success and failure walk a very thin line, and I’m tired of letting the negative “what ifs” drown out the positive ones.
So instead, I’m asking: What if this is what I’m meant to do? What if I write something that someone, somewhere, connects with? What if being vulnerable is actually a good thing? Those questions matter a lot more than the others—it just took me a decade to realize it.
Long story short: I’m excited to see where this journey goes, and even more excited to take these next steps. The road will be long and winding, but it’s mine.
At the end of the day, what if it all works out?
